Dr. Karen Effrem is president of Education Liberty Watch.  She is a pediatrician, researcher, and conference speaker.  Besides Education Liberty Watch, Dr. Effrem serves on the board and the Alliance for Human Research Protection, and she is also the co-founder and executive director of the Florida Stop Common Core Coalition. Dr. Effrem’s medical degree is from Johns Hopkins University and her pediatric training from the University of Minnesota. She has provided testimony for Congress, as well as in-depth analysis of numerous pieces of major federal education, health, and early childhood legislation for congressional staff, state legislatures, and many organizations. Dr. Effrem has spoken at numerous state and national conferences. She has been interviewed by Fox News and interviewed by or quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the British Medical Journal, National Journal, Bloomberg News, Politico, WorldNetDaily,  NewsMax,, newspapers, radio and television stations across the country.  Dr. Karen Effrem and her husband Paul, have three children.





     Marjorie Holsten (treasurer) is a wife, a home schooling mom, attorney, and grassroots political activist.






Sue Jeffer


Sue Jeffers is a mother, grassroots political activist, host of the Sue Jeffers radio show on WTCN 1130 AM.  She ran for the Republican nomination for governor of Minnesota in 2006 and for Ramsey County Commissioner in 2012.






Greg O’Connor has owned a small business for 42 years after defending our freedoms in the United States Marine Corps.  He has been involved in variouseducation issues since 1975.  He has been involved in grassroots political action since the mid-1960s, being a co-founder of the Minnesota Voter’s Coalition in 1975.  He also serves on the board and is currently acting as the Director of Legislative Affairs for the Republican Liberty Caucus as well as being active with the Campaign for Liberty and involved in many other civic and charitable organizations.





Mimi Clare Anderson is the Program Director for the Minnesota Child Protection League.  She also works as a Senior Sales Director with Mary Kay Cosmetics, starting her business in 1987; as a corporate trainer in sales and development for a corporation in Colorado Springs, Colorado; is a facilitator for ENDOW, an organization out of Denver which provides small group educational programs for women. Mimi has two grown children.
